About.

Ambiguous Egotism is hosted by Nixihost and made using WordPress (for now).

I’m Michael. You can find me elsewhere on the Internet. I work in academia. Ambiguous Egotism is a public dropbox for my brain.

Ambiguous Egotism is a repository for things I am thinking about. In general, I’m interested in family, technology, affect, productivity within academia and without, and other interesting things to see on the Internet. I reserve the right to learn and revise my thought, though my politics is in general humanistic, liberal and progressive. COVID was, is and remains a difficult time period for me, as it was for many, and I struggle both with how my mental health was impacted by this time as well as longer-term existential questions.

Like with most people who use social media, there is an element of revisionary presentation here. But it’s not my intention to present an idealized lifestyle here or to post to center conversations on myself and my identity more than this type of enterprise entails, as this is something that I also dislike. That said, I hope that whatever I’ve written here is useful to you, however you wish to use it.

See you around.
